Dr. Islam is an expert in the fuel-cell and renewable energy areas with over 12+ years of experience in R&D, system design and project development. Dr. Islam champions and supports the rapid acceleration of the adoption and integration of fuel-cell and electrolyzer systems for the development of renewable energy, energy storage, CO2 utilization, and synthetic fuels. He brings in specialized knowledge in all spectrums of fuel-cell and electrolyzer development including system design and development, materials research, techno economic evaluations and life-cycle assessment. He knows that there is much progress to be achieved specific to creating processes relative to the manufacturing, innovation, and supply chain distribution of the fuel-cell and electrolyser systems that will support high volume and economically viable commercialization. Dr. Islam will be instrumental in the development and commercialization of seeo2energy’s rSOFC platform technology.
Dr. Islam received his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2013 from the University of Calgary, Canada. He joined a fuel-cell company afterwards in the US to lead the design and development of a MW-scale fuel-cell system. He received his M.Sc. in Materials Engineering from Soonchunhyang University, South Korea in 2009, and B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology in 2006. He published several scholarly articles in reputed journals and held two patents. Dr. Islam is a registered Project Management Professional (PMP).
